Wat is het?
Hydroxyethyl Cetearamidopropyldimonium Chloride behoort tot de groep haarverzorgingsstoffen / conditioneringsmiddelen. Het wordt in cosmetica gebruikt als antistatisch, haarverzorger, huidverzorger.
Wat doet het?
Vermindert elektrostatische ladingen (bv. van het haar). Maakt het haar makkelijk doorkambaar, soepel, zacht en glanzend en/of geeft het volume. Houdt de huid in een goede conditie.

Effect op de gezondheid
Een quaternaire ammoniumverbinding die het haar ontklit en glad maakt. Op de huid kan ze bij hogere concentraties irritatie geven; in afspoelbare producten is het contact kort.

Geen waarschuwing van instanties. Dit ingrediënt is in de EU zonder beperking toegestaan in cosmetica.
