Wat is het?
Een ester van neopentylglycol met heptaanzuur. Het is een zeer lichte, heldere olie zonder geur.
Wat doet het?
Maakt de huid zacht en geeft een droge, zijdeachtige aanslag. Het wordt gebruikt als plantaardig alternatief voor vluchtige siliconen.

Effect op de gezondheid
Deze ester wordt op de huid goed verdragen en irritatie komt zelden voor. Doordat het molecuul vertakt is, voelt de stof licht aan en verstopt zij de poriën minder snel. Allergische reacties zijn zeldzaam.
